The vacation time is over, and now it's time to settle in to the new gig.
Thanks again to everyone that left a note below, it was great to hear from you all.
Just because I haven't been posting, it doesn't mean that I haven't been lurking. There have been some fantastic posts over the last week or so.
Here are some favourites:
Learning from Lennon - wicked post about music and brand thinking, which I have to come back to on a full post, as it relates directly to DJ'ing and the use of music to move people, to get them to feel a certain way. Make sure to check out John Grant's comments as well, brilliant.
Philosophy is Pointless - Well it isn't really, and this post by Wayne at Idea Festival reminds us why. Will have to dig out my degree again.
Review of Synthetic Worlds: The Business and Culture of Online Games - The book sounds great, of interest to anyone wanting to learn more about MMORPGs
Post on Creativity by John Grant - But culture seems to have some sort of homeostatic principle where stuff that answers needs becomes cultural favoured quick
The Little Girl Giant - First comes the great idea, or something truly interesting, then the different components can be put together. Good thinking.
Pit Stop for Doctors - Long live the cross-pollinator
Faris: Web Trends - Looking to the future
Definition of Art, Tennis and Advertising -His definition of art is especially insightful: "To make something exceptional...to produce out-of-the-ordinary reactions." And I can't help thinking, is this the aim of advertising? If not, should it be?
Top 10 Presentations - It's all about the presentation
Simplicity and Complexity - This comes from a weblog new to me, Comfortable Disorientation, and it's great.
Mark's review of The Innovator's Solution - Self-explanatory :)
LonelyGirl15 Mystery - Trying to make sense of it all, thanks AKI SYSTEMS 2600. Maybe one day I can actually sit through an entire clip without snoozing.

Thanks Dino!
BTW The Little Girl Giant link wasn't working for me and I'm very curious to read it

Hmm, don't know what is going on with the link.
Worse thing is, I can't remember the weblog it's from!
That's it, no more trackbacks.
Sorry Helen.
