That's how Dave Letterman describes Vote for the Worst.
It's the media story that won't go away: the website that is threatening the world's biggest show. Letterman of course gets the joke entirely. He practically invented this brand of humour (and meta-TV, for lack of less brutal term) over 20 years ago.
In this clip, the creator of the website rallying behind Sanjaya explains why he's doing it, and in doing so makes it pretty clear just how level the communications playing field is these days.
I'd include a clip, but of course the Letterman episodes aren't embeddable. Even after watching the stupid Colgate toothpaste pre-roll at CBS.com, you have to put up with a video player that doesn't allow you to pause, rewind or fast-forward. Ugh.
Alas, poor Sanjaya went home tonight. I for one was rooting for him, if only out of principle. That kid couldn't sing to save his life. :-)

He was really terrible, wasn't he?
He should have worn a "Vote for the Worst" t-shirt or something for today's show, that might have been awesome to see.

The answer to the transportation problem might just be refills.
